BoomM3

I have been assigned to manage the development of a series of
PowerPoint presentations supporting a textbook. The presentation will
be used in the classroom. My responsibilites include integrating the
text, sounds, and video into the presentation and creating the master
CD (to be self-installing or self-running). About 500 CDs will be
produced and sent to remote sites for use by the instructors.

Where do I start to look for information to allow me to complete this
project? Things that I know I need:
- guide to standards (like text size, font style, etc)
- estimating guidelines (how many slides per hour can be developed)
- what to consider when doing an automated install

Can any of you point me in the right direction?
Are there other things I should be concerned about?

Where do I start? Help - - please...

It is very difficult to create PowerPoints that are guaranteed to work the
same on a number of different computers because different computers are
configured so differently.

You might want to start with "Make an AutoRun CD":

If some of your users will be using Macs and others Windows, you might want
to check out "PC to Mac and back":

Hopefully, you won't have to incorporate any video because that tends to
have difficulty from computer to computer. You might want to check out "The
Myers Multimedia FAQ by Austin Myers (PowerPoint MVP)":

http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00099.htm

Finally, I would recommend testing on as many different computers as
possible before distributing.
