How to make my paint can save gif format pic?

I found some win2000 paint program (in accessories) can save GIF format
pictures, but my paint program can only save BMP format pictures.

How can I make the paint program support GIF format?

Do you have MS Office or Word installed? If so, run the setup again and look for Graphic Filters and install them.

Er.... there's plenty of freeware programs that are better than Paint that
can save gif.

try www.download.com and find one that suits your needs rather than
replacing dlls manually.
