Hello
I and others can ping my computer, but can't see it. How to make my computer
visible to me and others in our domain?

If you're using Windows 2000 or XP, you have to join a domain first, before
other network resources (other computers) can see your computer. To join a
domain (or workgroup), follow these steps:

1. Right click on 'My Computer' icon on the desktop.
2. Select 'Properties' on the sub-menu that appears.
3. Select 'Network Identification' tab -- for XP it's 'Computer Name'
4. Select 'Change' button.
5. Type in your computer name and domain name, select OK button

The computer will instruct the user to reboot for changes to take effect.

Best regards,

Todd

You should actually share something; drive, folder or printer.

Also, consider a WINS server or use NetBEUI.

Could my computer be invisible because "File and Printer
Sharing for Microsoft Networks" wasn't installed?
