How to make computer on intranet password protected to access shared files

I would like to find out how to secure my LAN so that it
requires a password to access the computers I have file
sharing. That is to say, that PC A and PC B can share
files but for B to access A's files he must first enter a
password. Is this possible?

Disable the Guest accounts.
