I am using Access 2007. I downloaded a demo which had an entry (NEW) in a
list of contacts to automatically go to a blank form to enter data for a new
record.

Could you please let me know how I can do this with my Design for address
book. I have a blank form for entry and a contact list.

In design view of the form set the Data Entry property to Yes.
NOTE --- You can ONLY add new records with the property set this way.

Hi Karl
In the design form I did set the Data Entry Property to yes. But, when I go
to the Office Table it still doesn't give me a balnk form. I typed "New" at
a blank line(the one next to the existing data) and nothing happens. In the
DEMO the (New) was in blue and yielded a blank form. My (New) is not in blue
and does nothing.

What else do I have to do?

Is 'Office Table' the name of your form that you set the Data Entry property
to Yes?

Or did you open the table to enter records? Wrong way to enter data.

Hi Karl
The name of my form is THIRD FORM. In the design view of that form. In the
property sheet, under Form selection I said yes to Data Entry.
The DEMO shows a place on their "LIST" that shows (NEW) in blue, and when
you click that a blank form appears.
In my FORM the only place any thing shows is under the "DESIGN" phase. And
if I go to my list, Office-Address_List:Table or Office Address List there is
no where to click for a blank form. I did type in (new) on the blank line in
my Office_Address_List:Table. It does not appear in blue (as the Demo) and
nothing happens if I click it. I did notice an option that says "New
Record" when I right l click the asterick that appears on the last line of
the table. BUT that is not Highlighted so I can't use it.

What else can I do?
