How to link cells and when you update one it updates the other

Is it possible to link two cells (that has the same information) and when you
update one it automatically updates the other?
 
Yes the second cell contains = and the reference of the first cell.

as in A1 is the one you will update and you want C1 to equal A1 you
would put =A1 into C1.
