As Administrator, I would like to set up my computer so
that user accounts are limited in the programs that they
can implement. Some of the programs are too dangerous to
allow kids/others to have access....e.g., RegEdit, etc.
Thanks....... (e-mail address removed)

If you've got Windows 2000 or XP Pro (not Home), you can use Group Policy to
configure different user group settings, such as administrator, user, power
user groups, etc.

You can open the Group Policy editor, as follows:

Start\Run\gpedit.msc

This will launch the Group Policy editor to adjust settings.

Best regards,

Todd

From Start|Run|Gpedit.msc|Users Configuration|Administrative
Templates|System (folder)|

To allow access to specified programs;
Execute only allowed Windows Applications|Enable|Show|Add|Type
Application(s).exe

To deny access to specified programs;
Do not Execute Specified Windows Applications|Enable|Show|Add|Type
Application(s).exe

Prevent access to system command|Enable and select yes.

Ctrl+Alt+Delete Options (subfolder)|Remove Taskmanager|Enable

(You'll need to prevent access to system command and Taskmanager
because access from them can still be posible.)
