My son likes to double click the time in the system tray and see the
calendar. As a limited user, Windows won't let him. Is there a way around
this?

Maybe you could try the FREE Desktop Calendar...
http://www.ipi.fi/~rainy/index.php?pn=projects&project=rainlendar

The Calendar stays on the desktop, you can move months ahead (or back) and
add useful things like Dentist Appointments and such.

I've been using it for about a year now and I'm just ticked to death with
it.

Very customizable too!

And it is free... My internet security, Firewall and Anti-Virus programs
have no problems with it.

I went looking for something like this for exactly the same reason!
And there are no permissions to deal with when using a limited user account.

Hope this helps!

Thanks, Richard. This should make the kid happy. He's a teenager, so
suggesting an actual paper calendar on the wall would make too much sense.
:-)

Hello JoeSpareBedRoom,

Your welcome. And I understand, anything that makes good sense is just no
fun...!
Especially if your a youngn'.

Anyway, The calendar is really cool, you can change the transparency and
drag-and-set anywhere on the desktop.
The "To-Do" list that comes with it I don't use and therefore leave turned
off. The calendar "scheduled events" feature such as a dentist appointment
can be set to turn on a alarm as a reminder. Select in minutes or days for
the alarm and at that time (or when you boot) a message will pop-up on your
desktop to remind you. Really useful way to keep up with your mother
in-law's Birthday or the kids ball game schedule, so-on and so-on.

The DeskTop Clock (Meter) is really nice too! Look to the left on the same
web page, you should see a link.

When downloading, get the manuals too. They will be a useful reference if
needed.

Anyway... thank-you for the thank-you!
