Hi,

Am wondering if any of you can point me to a tutorial or
help section that explains how to insert/edit pop-up boxes
in templates.

Looking to edit/create simple ones to populate some text
fields in forms (eg 'Please insert your name', 'Please
insert your position title' etc).

Thanks for your help. Using a combination of Office 97
mainly.

Kind Regards,

Why could you not insert a fill-in field? That is what I use for that exact purpose.

Right. And I'll bet that every time you go to print your document,
every fill-in field pops up in your face. You don't have to put up
with that annoyance...

No, indeed :-) You can turn off update fields in Tools/Options/PRint or you can lock the
(update) fields before printing. Sometimes, people have to be able to work without
macros in the environment; fill-in fields are a valid approach.

No, my fill-in fields do not pop up when I print my document.

I want to add the same text in several places but only prompt for it once. I have tried using an ask field and then inserting bookmarks but the bookmark has not been created yet and so there are none to choose from in the list. If I call it the same as the name of the ask field it still does not work. I have tried doing an update all AutoNew macro and it displays the ask but not the results... I have tried a fill-in but this is only for the one use - this does however display which is more than my Ask!! HELLLLPPPPP

After inserting Ask fields, insert either Ref fields or
Cross-references, *not* bookmarks.
