I copied the .pst files from my office PC which used
Outlook 2002.
I NEED to put them on my home PC which HAS to use Outlook
Express. 'IP won't support Outlook'.
OE uses .pab files. They can't be imported from the
other PC, cause it doesn't exist anymore.
They're saved on a CD and my 'C' drive.
HELP! Can it be done?

PST and PAB files can only be used by Microsoft Outlook. Couple this with
the fact that Outlook must be configured to use the files you want OE to
import from makes the answer yes, but it requires Microsoft Outlook to be on
the machine in question. (FWIW, most ISP don't support Microsoft Outlook
because they are unfamiliar with the dialogs to setup accounts and
configuration. Microsoft Outlook does work fine with Comcast, SBC,
Surewest, .etc)

.
Sorry, Outlook Express uses .dbx versus .pst files. Your
choices are you can just use Outlook Express to only
send/receive new email and Outlook to view your old pst
emails. To just view your .pst email at home it can be
done by adding a personal folder in OFFICE OUTLOOK 2K or
XP. To do it in OUTLOOK 2K:

1. OPEN OUTLOOK 2000
2. ON MENU BAR:
-FILE
-OPEN
-PERSONAL FOLDER FILE(.pst)
(either copy the pst to you computer or keep it on the cd)
-in the next dialog box under LOOK IN: CHOOSE THE THE CD-
ROM OR FOLDER YOU SAVED IT IN.
-DOUBLE CLICK YOU PST FILE
-THAT'S IT
It's pretty much the same for OUTLOOK XP.

Good Luck!
