How to identify which copy is installed?

I have two boxed copies of Windows XP in hand, one of which I installed on
my main desktop sometime ago. The notes that I had made on which copy was
installed got lost in a system crash of my server a few months back and now
I need to install the second copy on a new system I just finished building
up. I need some way to identify which copy has been installed and which has
not been. Is there any way to figure this out just by looking at the PID's
on the boxes and the information of an already installed system?

Thanks,
Peter
