Hi All.

Could you please tell, how to hide the formulas entere into a cell. That
should be invisible to others who are in shared network, but the result
should visible.

And that should be desplayed on other words instead of the formula.

for example:

A3 cell consists formula =a1+a2;
after entering the formula, in formula bar "=a1+a2" should not display
instead "sum" should display or the formula shold not disply.

please help me.

You could use Tools/ Protection, and protect the sheet, not allowing users
to select locked cells. Format Cells/ Protection will allow you to set
which cells are locked. This protection isn't very secure, as Excel
passwords can easily be cracked, so if you really don't want the formula
visible, don't put it in Excel.

Mark cells that contain formula, than use comand Format->Format Cells and
choose Protection tab. Tick in checkbox Hidden and close the box with OK.
After than protect sheet using Tool->Protect->Protect sheet (enter password).
After OK hidden cells will not show any result.

Hi,

By default all the cells in worksheet are locked.

Do the following:

1. Select the formula do the following:
Formula->Cells->Protection and select Lock and Hidden check boxes.
The formula cannot be viewed in the formula bar only when you protect the
document.

2. Select the values above the formula and do the following:
Formula->Cells->Protection and unselect Lock checkbox.
The will help you enter new values in the protected document. Otherwise, all
the cell will be locked an you cannot any new values.
