I recently finished a project for a client site where they allowed me to
log on to their domain with my laptop and the IT Administrator set up my
laptop so I could do that.

The only change I noticed different after he worked his magic was that I
had a log on screen where I put in my user name and password and I then
logged onto their network/domain.

How do I undo that now? I no longer need a log on screen.

Your computer is set up as joined to the domain. You'll have to take it
out of the domain.

Right click on My Computer, select Properties, and go to the Computer
Name tab. Select the Change button, and then just select Workgroup
instead of domain. You'll need to give the workgroup a name, or it could
just be workgroup.

Good luck.
