How to get rid of a label without deleting its textbox?

sounds stupid, I know, but this does not work. I am in design view and I only
click the label. Deleting that, the connected textbox is deleted too. Makes
me crazy. I have created this form with the "Form" tool in the ribbons (under
create/forms).

Strange. Try this (at least it works for Access 2002): ensure the formatting
toolbar is active. There should now be an object dropdown box in the toolbar
area. Click this and select the label name, and hit the delete key. Does
this work?

In access 2007 there are these stupid ribbons where you don't find any
function anymore. I don't find how to display the oject dropdown (I remember
this from access 2003.
I feel very stupid. I think I have to give up. This should be the easiest
think!

By default the controls are 'grouped' in 2007. You have to ungroup them
before you can delete the label.

- Click on the label in designview
- you should see a cross appearing in the left uppercorner of the label
- click on that once (should color you controls orange)
- Go to the ribbon and click the [Arrange] tab under form designtools
- Go to the group [control layout]
- Click on the third button which states [Remove]
- This doesn't remove the control it removes the grouping
- Now click somewhere in your form to 'unselect' the controls
- Select the label and press 'Delete'

other than select the lable and delete. Sorry can't be any more help

Put your mouse in the upper left hand corner of the Label until it
turns to a pointy hand.

Click and drag to move. If just the Label moves, you've selected just
the Label, and you can now press delete and delete just the Label.

If the label and the text box both move, try again....
