how to get rid of 2 second breakes between tracks?

When I burn audio cd from the multimedia library Media
Player 9 inserts 2 second breakes between tracks. I could
deal with in usinf EasyCD Creator 4 (which was bundled
with my cd burner), but apparently this software cannot
work on windows xp.

I would really appreciate some help here...
