How to get more speed?

I am looking for a website that give precise and accurate information on how
to tweak your registry to get more speed from a broadband connection. I have
looked at many, but when I try to follow their directions, I find that they
refer to keys that are not present in my system. I have xp home sp2 with all
the latest updates. Can someone point me to a good site? I would greatly
appreciate it.

I have yet to find a website with more advice and tools than BBR Reports.

If their help is irrelevant to your system, maybe you need to look a little
closer at your system.

Unfortunately there is no single formula which is correct for every computer
and every broadband connection. Also, many of the tweak keys/values are not
created by default - you add them by using regedit and right clicking on the
appropriate folder: select New - Key or New - string, binary or DWORD value.
In any event, speed tweaking is basically a trial and error process.

As Doug said, many tweaks, broadband or otherwise, are not present in the
registry by default. Again as Doug said, if you want to try the tweak,
create the key the tweak needs, if you have no change or it causes issues,
then remove it, although some may require booting into safe more first as
they may make the system unbootable. "Caution" should always be taken when
editing the registry - the major objective is to get back to where you were
before you screwed it up - if you do that, then you'll always be ok.
