How to get mapped drives to auto connect

I have a small network at my house, I have DSl coming into
a wireless router which directly feeds a desktop running
Xp Home. The second PC is a laptop running xp Pro
connecting via a wireless NIC. The last PC is a desktop
running 98 SE and connecting to the router via 2 plug in
powerline adapters. I have full connectivity to the
internet on all 3 computers. when I turn them all on only
the one running 98 SE connects drives automatically via
netbuei. The 2 desktops are in the same workgroup but the
laptop (Daughters School PC) is in a different workgroup.
On the 2 running XP I have to manually reconnect by
clicking on the mapped drives and on the laptop it asks
for a password on the initial request. Once I hit enter it
connects. How can I get around this ? Do I need to load
Netbuei on the 2 running XP ??

When you initially mapped the drives, there was an option to "Reconnect at
logon". You should try remapping the drives and clicking that box.

been there done that, I disconnected and remapped it again
checking the reconnect box also to no avail
