How to get down loaded animation clips to work in power point sli.

I am try to down load a clip art from MS Office clip art site that has
animation. But the animation won't work in my Power Point slides
 
Which version of PPT do you have? If it is PPT 97, no they won't work. In
the other versions, the animated gifs should run when in show mode. They
won't show in edit mode. That said, there are other things that will affect
whether your animated gifs work the way you expect. Check out this entry

Have you tried it in Slide Show mode? Animations won't appear animated in
Normal mode. If that's not the problem then tell us what version of PowerPoint
and what type of file it is - - what is the file extension?
