How to get cd\dvd to show on my Computer

How do I set up my cd\dvd drives to show the content of the cd\dvd. the
problem started last week. It used to show up, now it doesn't. What do I
need to do?

No that is not what I am trying to accomplish. The problem is that I
removed a bunch of programs that I was not using, to free up space on the
hard drive. since doing that I can not see the contents of the cd "Name" on
my computer. And when it does show up, after it has been ejected, it still
shows up in my computer, even though there is no cd in the drive
