Hi and a happy Christmas too all.
I know one can format a floppy to make a dos boot disk.
But when I boot to this floppy I cannot get any other
prompt except a:
Floppy does not have fdisk or format command on it.
Is there a way of formatting a hard drive with corrupt
files that reinsallation of windows xp cannot fix?
I know you can download the file that takes 6 floppies
from MS web site to start win xp from floppy.
Is this the only way?

Thanks in advance

Email replies are okay

Just boot from the Windows XP CD and follow the prompts for a
clean installation. It will do the reformat for you.
