How to fill zeros to ID numbers

Hi,
I have a field ID# in a table. The format is L#########.
Can the ACCESS 97 automatically put zeros between the
letter and numbers if I enter numbers only. For example,
if I put "H256320", it will give me "H000256320". Please
help. Thank you.

You would need to write your own code for it.

I would suggest that using an Input Mask might be the best solution.
