I imported a database from MS Works into Access in the csv format. It missed
the end characters of data in some fields. When I try to type in the missing
characters it just beeps at me and won't allow me to enter anything. How do
I enter the missing data? Also is this going to block me from entering new
records in the database? I haven't tried that yet.

Guessing -
Check the field size in Access. Is it 255? Is the data longer than that? If
so, you will have to change these fields to Memo type. If the length is less
than 255 try increasing the field size by 10 percent to allow you to include
additional characters.

I know it was "import" as I've never tried to use linking. I don't want to
link as I want data actually stored in Access. I saved the file in csv
format and then opened it in Access to convert it.

I tried increasing the size of the field by widening the whole column before
trying to enter extra data. The field I was trying consists of only an ID
name and and e-mail address so it's not that long.

Hi Cat - widening the column does not increase the Field size, you will need
to open the design of the Table and increase the field size there. Yrs - Dika
