How to do that is ASP.Net?

When I visit the below link and try to book the hotel, I will get the
"Please wait while we check.." displayed while the search is on..

How to do that in ASP.Net? I am using .NetFramework 1.1 and IE6+. By doing
so I can avoid user clicking the button again. That's what I am looking for
my application.



Any thoughts or similar idea will be helpful.

It's a matter of using a Response.Flush() to dump something (usually an
animated gif) to the screen before the heavy data lookup.

see my scipt site for an example of a wait message, it's classic ASP not
..NET but the same prinical will work,
 
Hi J,

Do a view source on the default.aspx page. At the bottom you'll see a
hidden div that contains a table that stretches to cover the whole page.
The don't show the javascript, but when you click a button they are making
the div visible and then submitting the form. They appear to be doing this
in the frmValidate() javascript routine which doesn't show in the code
because it is in an included .js file. You could do the same with a button.
Call it Button1, in your code behind, do this:

Button1.Attributes.Add("onclick", "ShowDiv(); return false;");

In your HTML:

<script language='javascript'>
function ShowDiv() {
document.getElementById('myDiv').style.visibility = 'visible';
document.getElementById('Form1').submit();
}
</script>

Then just create your div like they did and you should be all set. I havn't
tested this but it should be close. Good luck! Ken.
