How to do a XP Activation without internet

A friend bought a new computer with XP home. He has the
25 digit product key code. Can I do it over the internet
for him and how, or is there a number I can call. Please
help.

At the activation screen have him choose the option for phone
activation.
At that point a phone number will be displayed.
He needs to call that number to Microsoft.
Done in about 5 minutes.
 
If youre connectedto internet open lets activate xp,if not use the phone to
activate,it'll supply you with a nos to call in and get the activation nos for
xp.
