Hi,

I am currently trying to find a way of disabling the
Windows + L hotkey combination to stop students locking
the workstations at our college. We have disabled the
Ctrl + Alt + Del method with policies but the Hotkeys
still work.

Any ideas???, maybe a registry key or something..

Mike,

Unfortunayely we need some of the hot keys so disabling
the windows key totaly is not an option, unfortunately..

The other option disabled most of the hot keys but not
windows + L

Thanks for taking the time to post a reply.

Hey Neil,

I unfortunetely don't have a solution for you since i
have been looking for a way to do the same thing as
well.

I was wondering if you could possibly answer a question
for me though, you said you have it set to disable the
Lock Computer option through ctrl+alt+dlt, but what about
the lock option when a computer resumes from standby
mode?? I know you can disable it in the Power Management
option in Control Panel, but that only changes it for the
user who is logged in currently, i was wondering if you
have found the option to disable the computer from
locking no matter what user is logged in. I have
searched endlessly through gpedit.msc and have not been
able to find an option that will do what i am looking
for. Thanks for any help.
