Hi all - Office 2002 XP - Windows XP

I would like to disable the task pane that pops up when you want to copy
something from a Word document. Every time I highlight text to copy from a
Word document, the side panel/task pane opens to the right of the screen.

I have looked everywhere, but, see nothing that indicates where to disable
it. It is very annoying and not necessary. I also use OXP in W2k, and it
does not do this.

I'd really appreciate any suggestions.

Jan :)

Next time the Task Pane pops open, look at the bottom and you will see an
OPTION button. Try the options.

Hi Terry :-)
Next time the Task Pane pops open, look at the bottom and you will see an
OPTION button. Try the options.

Thank you very much, it was almost to small to see. I finally found it and
unchecked the items. it works fine now. I really appreciate your time and
help. :-)
