How to delete folders?

How to delete these folders in my "Folder List":
- Calendar
- Contacts
- Journal
- Notes
- Tasks
- Search Folders

You don't. They're permanent folders in the default delivery location. If
you don't want to see them, and you're using Outlook 2003 (you don't say
what version), then switch to the Mail View in the Navigation Pane. If
you're using an older Outlook, you should be able to right-click in the
Outlook bar and choose "Remove". But you can't delete the folders
themselves. If you have no need of those Outlook features, why are you
using Outlook?

I have Outlook 2003, but where is Mail View ?
About needing it, well O 2003 is newest email software right? i just need
e-mail, I have lot of contacts therefore lot of folders and I don't want
other folder like Journal to mix with my other folders.

I had Outlook Express, but wanted to get new 2003.

In the left side pane of Outlook you can select various ways to see the
folders. Click the one that looks like a mail folder and may say Mail
beside it. Now you'll only see Mail folders. To see all tour folders,
click the Folder List view in the same general area. To see just Calendars,
click the Calendar view. Watch the heading of that pane down the left side
of your screen - it tells you what you are seeing.

I hope this helps. Many novice users find the new look of 2003 confusing!

Yes i got it, but in Mail view, I get Favorite Folders... I don't want that,
with that I have double folders like Inbox, Sent Itesm, what do i nee Unread
Mail if I have Inbox...

ok thanks anyway will manage somehow..
 
It doesn't sound like you want to delete folders at all. You just want to
hide the Favourite Folders. A very recent post covers this.

Because if you use Rules to sort your messages into multiple folders, then
the Unread Mail search folder comes in handy. It shows all unread mail no
matter where it resides.

You say this like you think Outlook is a replacement for Outlook Express.
It's not. If the only function you need is the mail function, you're better
of staying with Outlook Express in many cases, as long as you don't need to
access an Exchange server and even if you do, there are ways to access an
Exchange server with Outlook Express, like with an IMAP account.
