I have XP Pro SP 2 installed and , in an attempt to transfer a newly
created Folder into a partitoned drive using two versions of Windows
Explorer vertically tiled , this folder , by an inadvertent slip of
the mouse , installed this Folder in error into the
C:\Windows\$hf_mig$\ Folder which contains all the MS Windows Upgrade
files.

It is , in fact now installed , as an empty Folder , in the
C:\Windows\$hf_mig$\$NtUninstallKB833996$\ Folder.

I am unable to delete this Folder in Windows .

How do I delete this ?

You should be able to boot to Safe Mode and delete it from there. If not,
then booting with an emergency boot disk should allow this from DOS.

If it is empty I would not worry about it. It will be occupying
negligible disk space, and if you were to run that particular uninstall
it would be ignored

Since my original post on this , I managed to delete this in Windows
by allocating full permissions and then deleting it .
