how to delete a mesage form the server?

Hello everyone.

I need to know hot to create a rule in Outlook 2002 wich can delete a
message from the email server BEFORE it's downloaded.

I know Outlook Express can do it and it's simple, but Outlook XP seems to
apply the rule and deletes the message AFTER it is downloaded.

Please help

Not possible without Exchange.
I know Outlook Express can do it

It's such a pity that Outlook appears to be more powerfull and capable than
OE, but lacks a few simple features.

In OE you can create a rule that deletes the 'filtered' messages from the
pop3 server. Actually I'm using a couple of them. OE applies the rule when
it checks for emails from the server. Just as simple as that.

But it's still examining the content of the message, it's downloading the
message, not deleting it before downloading. The POP protocols simply don't
allow a client to scan a message while still on the server. It's
conceivable that filtering on header information would work, because POP
commands can reference header information, but they can't reference the
body.
