Hi

What would be the best way to initiate and manage defrag of a large number of windows 2000/2003 servers?

I am aware of the AutoDeFrag software, and using scheduled task.

We have about 70 servers with varying disc stups ie some have only a C: drive while others may have C: D: E: etc

Any idea on how this could be managed? I shudder at the thought of having to go to each server and manually configure it.

Thanks for any help

I never defrag servers. I used to but didn't see any performance
difference. I'd consider not doing it at all.

There a several commercal defragmenters that are designed for the
enterprise - remote deployment, managing, scheduling, etc... One of them
might reduce your "shudder factor" :)
