before saying anything thanx for reading.
I admire northwind way (employee form) add / remove photo and I try it
The problem is that I always get a code error msg with getfilename
I follow the northwind mdb codes step by step with no result
Always there is an error especially in getfilename code
I do check box of the library 11.0 in tools -reference
With no hope I realized that the wrong was not access but that I don’t know
vb language very will
I going to learn it but right now I have no time for that
I got a lot of photos which increase access data base size to 1.5 Gb
Maybe more so OLE method did not worked with me and I want to save photo in
external folder.
For god sake help me to do it quickly I am in big trouble
Teach me this photo way step by step
Be my teach and a promise I will be a good student
Thanks for your time.

The best way to be able to select a file is to use the API calls
demonstrated in http://www.mvps.org/access/api/api0001.htm at "The Access
Web".

For a good discussion of how to handle images in an Access database, see the
sample imaging databases at http://accdevel.tripod.com. It illustrates three
approaches to handling images in Access, and the download includes an
article discussing considerations in choosing an approach. Two of the
approaches do not use OLE Objects and, thus, avoid the database bloat, and
some other problems, associated with images in OLE Objects.

If you are printing the images in reports, to avoid memory leakage, you
should also see MVP Stephen Lebans' http://www.lebans.com/printfailures.htm.
PrintFailure.zip is an Access97 MDB containing a report that fails during
the Access formatting process prior to being spooled to the Printer Driver.
This MDB also contains code showing how to convert the contents of the Image
control to a Bitmap file prior to printing. This helps alleviate the "Out of
Memory" error that can popup when printing image intensive reports.

If you've already starting storing images in your database, and you'd like
to export them all, see:
http://www.lebans.com/oletodisk.htm

Hi,
I needed to include pictures into a database and came up with the same
problem, the solution I found was in the form of an add in called DBPix from
http://www.ammara.com/
Ok so it costs but the demo allows you to see the benefits

Hope you find this usefull
