Hi,

Could someone suggest the best way to convert the contents of the local
outlook news/mail folders into text files?

The idea, of course, is to avoid manually editing each and every message.

I work with OutlookExpress 6 under Windows.

Thnx,

Andre

How do you cross post?

A novice...

That's posting the same post to more than one group in the same message, ie
you put two groups in the "Newsgroups" field, rather like sending an email
to two people.

Does 'reply to group' then go to both threads or do you have to use 'Reply
to all'?

"Reply to Group" posts to both newsgroups - "Reply to All" also sends an
email reply to the person who sent the post. As most people use a "munged"
email address for posting to newsgroups, this usually results in an error
message!

Ta,

Now I should be able to reduce the amount of going round in circles to see
who's answered what, and upsetting the MVPs!
