How to convert mail/news folder contents to text files

Hi,

Could someone suggest the best way to convert the contents of the local
outlook news/mail folders into text files?

The idea, of course, is to avoid manually opening and editing each and every
message.

I work with OutlookExpress 6 under Windows XP.

BTW, I am not a developer, so please be gentle with me.
