Hi. One one of my pcs, the font for icons and stuff is a thick, bold
font. On my other one, the fonts are thin and hard to read (both have
white fonts and black background). I must have selected different
settings when setting up or in some control panel at some point. I
can't figure out how to change them now. All I can find it the size of
the font in the display control panel.

Anyone know how I can control the fonts, make them bold or a different
font?

Thanks,
Jim

Display Properties -> 'Appearance' tab -> 'Advanced' button -> Item: -> Icon.

You can adjust everything but the color.

Escellent, thanks. I always thought if you use anything in advanced it
would switch you back to classic windows. Thanks very much.

Display - Appearance page, click Advanced. In Item select Icon, and
adjust font. In particular if sounds as if you have clicked on the B
for Bold - click again to turn that off

You're welcome. Playing with advanced settings won't switch you back to classic; it's just that
some settings have no effect with XP styles.
