how to combine data from Column A & B

I need to combine Column A & B without doing them individually. Thanks for
the help.

Example
A B Result
1 2 12
3 4 34
 
Select C1 and type =
now select colum A1:A?
type &
now select column B1:B?
hold CTRL and hit ENTER
