how to clean up unessecry progames in my start up files

i need to upgrade my memory so what should i do to clean up those unwanted
files in my start up

Go to www.sysinternals.com and get hold of "autoruns".
Unpack in own folder.
Start the executable and get rid of the unwanted ticks.

You might even try HijackThis to accomplish it.
