I AM TRYING TO OBTAIN INFORMATION ON HOW TO CHANGE
THE "WINDOWS XP" LOGO SCREENSAVER THAT APPEARS ON A BLACK
SCREEN WHENEVER THE COMPUTER IS LEFT "ON", BUT NONE OF THE
USERS ARE LOGGED IN.

I AM AWARE OF HOW TO CHANGE THE SCREENSAVERS FOR EACH USER
INDIVIDUALLY, BUT I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO CHANGE THIS
PARTICULAR "WINDOWS XP" LOGO SCREEN SAVER. CAN THIS
SCREENSAVER BE CHANGED JUST AS I'M ABLE TO CHANGE THE
INDIVIDUAL SCREENSAVERS?

YOUR IMMEDIATE RESPONSE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

THANK YOU.

Hi,

1) Please turn off the capslock button. It is hard to read posts created in
this fashion, and it's considered rude and may limit your responses.

2) Log on as administrator. Start/run regedit, navigate to this key:

HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop

Look in the right-hand pane for SCRNSAVE.EXE and double-click it. Change the
file here to the preferred .scr file. If the screensaver you want is in the
\system32 folder, then you only need to put the name of the file. If it is
located anywhere else, then you will need to put the full file path. Close
when finished.
