Hello,

I have to change many pop3 settings from a Outlook 2000 installations in my
network.
Can i do this remotely?. I have access to the client registry from the
option Connect to: in the registry, i perform a search and i not found the
mail address.

Many thanks

Eric

You might want to create new profiles, but that will be a PITA since you're
using PST files. Why not just send out a mass mail to all users that
explains what they need to do, presuming the existing profiles are still
functional and receiving mail?

Yes Lanwench i understand, this can be a good solution but is far easy for
me to change all the pop settings,(if i know howto do), than ask the users.
I works in a hospital and is hard to me to ask the users make this change
for me.

Sorry by my poor english and many thanks,
Eric

What is it you're changing? And how many users?
POP is rarely the best option for an organization...

Three hundred. I have POP because i have two internet domains with a
hetereogeneus client system, Eudora (client and server), Outlook Express,
Outlook 98 and Outlook 2000 and have to join it in a one. We have buy a new
Exchange server 2000 but for migrate all i need to fusion all the pop
accounts.
I have look for any key in the registry that hold the pop information but
with no results.

Best regards,
Eric

300 pop users? OUCH again.

I don't know the details of your long-term migration plan, but why do you
need to change the existing POP settings in order to migrate to Exchange?

Cut over to Outlook for all clients when you do the migration - and use a
profile generation tool to create the profiles for all users, just
containing the Exchange server and Outlook Address Book services.
