How to change ruler bar from characters to inches?

Somehow my ruler bar started displaying character measurement instead of
inches. My default unit of measure is still inches, but the ruler still
displays characters.

Any help is appreciated.

Same problem....thanks from me was well. Nothing came up on office-online.
