I am getting an error msg during start up saying I have
no paging file or the size is too small.

I am not able to get to the windows desktop using last
good configuration or booting in safe mode, etc. So I
cannot use the normal procedure thru the control panel.

Is there a way to fix this from a DOS command console. Is
this information kept in the registry or some other file
that can be manually edited? I am running Windows 2000
Professional SP4.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks, Leo

If you can get to the machine via a network connection then
you can use regedt32 to modify this key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\
Memory Management

If this is not an option then you can borrow an old disk,
format it and connect it to your system as a slave disk.
This may give you the breathing space you need to fix
the problem.

In general you should never allow a disk to fill to more
than 75% of its capacity.
