how to change a drive from dynamic to basic

I recently installed a new HD and formated it using xp drive , it chose the
dynamic
and of course I can't do anything with it using partition magic.
how can I get it to be basic instead of dynamic

My advice would be to purchase Acronis true image for 39.95 before you do
anything. Most likely you will need it.
