How to capture video from my DV Camera?

Sorry folks, I am new to the matter :)

I just bought a Canon GL2 DV Camera, I have 3 questions:

- How can I import my movies (in tape) to my computer.
(some info: I don't have a DVD Recorder, neither a CD
Recorder. I can capture my pictures fom my Digital Photo
Camera using the only one UBS port I have in the
computer). Is there any way to pass movies to my computer
with that config?

- My computer config is: 256M RAM, 40G Hard, Intel
Celeron 465, Windows XP: How bad is this config to use
WMM2?

- Finally: If I am able to import and use WMM2, what is
the best way to send (internet) a big file (a movie let's
usppose with 300M to a friend's computer who has a DVD
Recorder?). I know that e-mail will not work.

Thanks a lot, MB

Movie maker system requirements:

You need a firewire capture card if you don't have one,
judging from the sysyem specs you posted, you don't have
one? Also, since your system doesn't meet the
requirements, MM2 may not run properly, or it may not run
to your liking.....i.e... VERY slowly

If you can get the video into the computer, edit it, and
play it back to tape, an easier solution would be to
capture the edited video from the tape back onto your
friends computer and burn the DVD that way.
