how to become an administrator

i had bought this computer a while ago and i didn't
relaize I wasn't signed up as an administrator because I
had bought the one on display at the store.Now i can't
download certain things because I am not an
administrator.
What do I do to become one ????

Reboot tapping F8 each second.
Choose Safe Mode at the menu.
Select Administrator.

Once in, go to User Accounts in Control Panel.
Select the user you wish to make Administrator.
Click Change account type.
Repeat as desired.
