How can a user backup a MS access runtime database (i.e. an .mde file installed with Access 2003 runtime code). If the user makes a file copy, will this copy also work under the same runtime licence/code on the same PC?

Presumably this file copy won't work on another PC without MS ACCESS but will work on any PC with a compatible version of Access

Second time of asking as no luck first time; TI

Miles,

Your are correct in that a use could make a backup copy
of the .mde file with no problem and that that file will
not run on any machine that does not have the runtime
version of Access installed or the compatible full
version of Access.
