How to automatically insert information into the document properties

I am not very good with this but I am creating some
templates in word 2000 for memo/faxes. I have created
fill-in fields for the to, company, from and subject line
fields. I would like the from and subject line fields to
be automatically saved in the document properties for every
document based on this template but have no idea on how to
do so?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
You will probably need to use a UserForm instead. You can write the data
entered to your document properties, then use DocProperty fields to insert
them in the document.
