Help~!!! Need to alphabetize by LName a file that is set up in labels

I KNEW this could be done, but when you mentioned using another program, it
rang the right bell. You save the file as a comma, delimited file (Wndows),
import into Outlook/Contacts....voila, alphabetized....then export it to a
Word doc. Behold, an alphabetized list in a Word label file! despite the
best efforts of MSWord to thwart into such a thing. Thanks MS for makng a
simple thing so complicated....!

I have not seen the other thread yet, but while it is much more sensible to
keep your data in a database like Outlook Contacts than in a document it is
not essential to do this in order to sort a label document. It can all be
done in Word. See http://www.gmayor.com/convert_labels_into_mail_merge.htm

This is not the simple task you seem to imagine.
