how to alphabet names Last names

I have mailing list in Word and I would like to know how to alphabet names
before
printing labels. I have enter as the following
Anne Herring
160 Braswell Rd
Goldsboro NC 27530
Would like to print like this but have alphabet

Is your mailing list set up in the label format or do you have a table that
you use to do a mail merge?

I have set 3 columuns to print labels with 30 to a page.

Put the names in alphabetical order using Excel. Just open your data
file in Excel, sort alphabetically, and then resave the document using
Excel.

When you do your mail merge using Microsoft Word, the labels should
sort in alphabetical order. You can read an article on mail merging
