how to add paragraph marks

I am trying to figure out how to add A pragraph mark and is it suppose to
automactically go to a line by it self? If not how do I insert the mark to
make the sentence on a line by itself. I am using Microsoft Office 2003.
 
Pressing the Enter key will create a new paragraph. If you just want a new
line, use Shift+Enter.
