How to add fields to distribution list display line?

On Win XP Outlook 2003, creating a distribution list displays only the name
and email address. I want to insert the company name, as well. How do i
add/remove fields from the distribution list display??

It is unclear to what field you are referring.
You can name a DL whatever you want when you create it.
 
sorry russ ... reading my initial post, i can see how i many not have been
clear ...

let me try again:
1) i create a DL called "Flower retailers"
2) i add 5-10 entries to the DL and save it
3) ...
4) i open the DL to see if i need to add Arnie's Orchids
5) all the DL detail shows me is the "Name" and "EMail", so i am not sure if
one of the entries is for Arnie's or not, unless the email addy includes
"arnieorchid.com".

when i open a DL i already created, i would like to see the "Name",
"Company" and "Email" fields from the regular Contact card. most toobars
and/or display bars have a mechanism to add/delete fields ... how do i add
one to the DL display?

is this a bit clearer? ... thank you
 
The DL dialog box is not subject to user configuration.
However, if you get in the habit of configuring your Contacts' Display As...
fields with information you need, you should see that information in the
Contact's Name field when you examine the DL members.
Note: this behavior is very erratic. Contacts created in earlier versions of
Outlook will not necessarily abide by these conventions.
