How to Add Clips to Collection??

I just started using MM2 and am baffled as to how to add clips to a collection - was trying to use the automovie, and it would only use the clips in a selected collection. How can I put clips from several collections into ONE collection, from which I can make an automovie? I've searched and searched for an answer without finding one, which makes me think I'm approaching this all wrong. Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated!

Create a new collection > right click on a collection and opt for 'new
collection' which will go under it.

Then go to the collections with clips you want in the auto movie.... copy
them to the new one, or drag and drop them into it (which will move them
rather than copy)....

Use standard copy/paste methods... it's a good time to learn them if you
don't know them... I don't know your skill level, so I'll stop here.
